5-Points is comprised of almost 20 miles of purpose built, mountain bike single track trails that was opened in the fall of 2011.

The trails at 5 Points have everything from long cross country pedals to fast, flowy downhills. It is a great place to get in a long ride on a cool weekend.

Combine it with the Durham Mine Trails and you can ride 30+ miles without riding the same trail twice if you get creative.

AETNA MOUNTAIN TRAILS

Best for: Beginner to Intermediate Riders

Hours: Sunrise to Sunset

The newest addition to the Chattanooga trail scene brought to you by the Tennessee River Gorge Trust.

The first 4 miles of trails in what will eventually be a 12 mile trail system provide fund for riders of all abilities.

We are excited what this trail system will add to our local trail scene once it is all built out.

BOOKER T. WASHINGTON STATE PARK

Best for: Beginner to Intermediate Riders

Hours: 7:00 AM to Sunset

Situated on the shores of scenic Chickamauga Lake not far from downtown Chattanooga is the 353-acre Booker T. Washington State Park.

The trails at Booker T consist of three loops for a total of 7.3 miles of beginner and intermediate single track.

DURHAM MINE TRAILS

Best for: Beginner to Advanced Riders

Hours: Dawn to Dusk
Cost: $5 Day Use (per vehicle)

The Durham Mile Trails allow you to experience the feeling of riding in a remote forest close to downtown Chattanooga.

Built and owned by the Lula Lake Land Trust, the trails at Durham provide a remote riding experience for all abilities. This kiddo and adaptive MTB friendly trail system is tons of fun. For those looking to get in more miles and an all day adventure, there are two connector trails leading to the 5 points trail system.

ENTERPRISE SOUTH
NATURE PARK

Best for: Beginner Riders

Hours: Vary by season with sunset time.

Enterprise South is one of the most popular trail systems in the Chattanooga area.

Popular for it's beginner-friendly flowing trails, park facilities, and the security of a ranger staff, ESNP is perfect for the whole family.

RACCOON MOUNTAIN

Best for: Intermediate to Advanced Riders

Hours: Sunrise to 7:30 PM (CST)

Raccoon Mountain is made up of several trails that circle the TVA Raccoon Mountain pumped storage facility. The trails present a variety of riding environments that can be best described as intermediate and advanced.

Select trails are fairly smooth without much elevation change and can be considered beginner-friendly; however, this type of trial only makes up approximately 10% of the entire system.

Raccoon Mountain Recreation Area will be closed to all trail users from February 17 to May 17, 2025 for construction. Updates can be found here

STRINGER’S RIDGE

Best for: Beginner to Intermediate Riders

Hours: Sunrise to Sunset

Stringer’s Ridge is a 92 acre pocket wilderness park in Chattanooga’s urban core. Located on the Northshore, there are 7 miles of multi-use, bi-directional trail for hikers, bikers and trail runners to share.

It is great for a quick spin before or after work with punchy uphills and flowy downhills.

WALDEN’S RIDGE

Best for: Intermediate to Advanced Riders

Hours: Sunrise to Sunset

Walden’s Ridge Park is the most progressive, downhill oriented PUBLIC bike park in the country.

The trails will allow you to hone your downhill riding and jumping skills on some of the most progressive trails in the area. For folks that are looking to keep you wheels on the ground, Walden’s Ridge also offers great cross country riding experiences on the climbing and traverse trails.

WHITE OAK MOUNTAIN

Best for: Beginner to Intermediate Riders

Hours: Sunrise to Sunset

White Oak is a great trail system for both beginners and more experienced riders.

You can choose the longer pedals of Southern Cross or hit up the fast downhill trails of Cottontail and Nutty Buddy.
